Site building

How to build a website

I guess this is the unofficial launch of the Fire Project site…I was fortunate to discover the ease of building a website (via Wordpress) and it came free with my hosting account! So, good bye to HTML coding — at least for this site. Enjoy what’s been posted so far as I sort through photos, edit interviews and continue to write for the project.

Scratch the comment above, “Goodbye to HTML,” there’s always a few tricks to be pulled. Since the creation of the site, I moved it to a host that offers streaming video (Onyx Hosting) and had to find a workaround since Wordpress needed a little coaxing with custom html. Now the profiles stream nicely and I can get back to the business of creating images…

    John,
This is a very accessible site. And the few images I have been able to view are great. I sometimes forget your photographs are photographs. They have a wonderful painterly quality. It would be great to see you painting!

I look forward to checking back here often. Let me or Dave know if you need anything.

    Sarah
